On the seventh weekend in a row, „yellow vests“ have again demonstrated in numerous places in France. Especially in Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Toulouse and Bordeaux there were today protests, as the station France Info reported. Also roadblocks were rebuilt according to the information.

According to France Info, there were clashes with police in Paris near BFMTV’s studios. There, several hundred „Yellow West“ protested against alleged false information that the broadcaster would broadcast. Subsequently, the demonstrators wanted to move to other media houses.

According to regional media in Strasbourg, around a hundred people reappeared on the European bridge leading to Germany. In Marseille, according to the French news agency AFP, about 900 people took to the streets.

Protest against reform politics

The number of demonstrators has steadily declined in recent weeks – on the weekend before Christmas, only 39,000 people had demonstrated nationwide. According to observers, but this is mainly due to the holidays – in January, the movement could gain significantly back to inflow.

In December, the government launched a billion-euro social package to defuse the conflict. Since mid-November, the „yellow vests“ are protesting against the reform policy of the government. There have been repeated violent riots in the capital, Paris.
