At the age of 34, the American entrepreneur Colin Kroll died. The co-founder of the short video service Vine and the quiz app HQ Trivia was found lifeless yesterday in the bedroom of his apartment in Manhattan, as a police spokesman told the US broadcaster NBC. As a cause of death, an overdose of drugs is suspected.

Kroll co-founded the popular video service Vine in 2012, with which up to six seconds long videos could be shared. Vine was later taken over by Twitter and has since been discontinued.
Faced with internal allegations?

Later, Kroll founded the quiz app HQ Trivia. The game hit the market in August 2017 and had two million users the following March. However, the number of users has recently decreased significantly. HQ Trivia said „deeply sad“ about the death of the founder and expressed his condolences to the relatives.

According to media reports, Kroll was once dismissed by Twitter for lack of management skills. The „Time“ magazine also reported that he had been confronted at HQ Trivia with allegations of inappropriate behavior.
