
Venezuelan Attorney General Tarek William Saab has today applied for an exit ban against the self-appointed Interim President Juan Guaido. He also asked the Supreme Court to freeze the Opposition Leader’s accounts.
Guaido: Do not underestimate danger of arrest
Guaido was unimpressed. The Attorney General’s actions are in line with the threatening gestures against him and the parliament, which is dominated by the opposition, said the 35-year-old. He does not underestimate the danger of arrest, but that’s nothing new. As a member of the National Assembly, Guaido enjoys immunity, which can only be lifted by a high court.

US hold over military operation covered
Meanwhile, incumbent US Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan held himself covered by speculation about a possible US military operation in Venezuela. Previously, National Security Advisor John Bolton had used a notepad to raise speculation about the possible deployment of the US military in the crisis-ridden country.
