The number of coronavirus tests in the US has hit a new record. On Friday, according to data from yesterday’s CoV tracking project, more than a million tests were carried out in one day.
In the week of September 13th there was an average of 650,000 tests per day after a high at the end of July with over 800,000 tests per day. According to experts, however, the US would have to come up with six to ten million tests a day to bring the disease under control.
