The US wants to bring more relief supplies to the Colombian-Venezuelan border. The 200-tonne delivery destined for Venezuela’s destitute population will be delivered by military transport plane in the coming days, according to the US Department of Defense yesterday.

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro accused the United States of robbing Venezuela of wanting to put it off with „rotten and contaminated food.“ US sanctions against Venezuela’s oil sector have cost his country $ 30 billion in damages, Maduro said. Now Washington offers his country „Brosamen“.

Venezuela’s government has so far categorically rejected humanitarian aid from the US. The army has been blocking a border crossing with Colombia for days to prevent the delivery of available relief supplies.

Guaido camp wants to freeze gold business

Under a loan agreement, the US financial house would be in the possession of the gold, if Venezuela could not service the loan to maturity in March, said the deputy Angel Alvarado.

But the bank should give it up. „We do not want to lose the gold.“ According to information from financial circles, the gold worth 1.1 billion dollars (980 million euros). Citigroup, which owns Citibank, declined to comment.
