In the night to today, there were again incidents at the crossing from Kastanies / Pazarkule on the Greek-Turkish border. Around 500 refugees, especially young people, tried to tear down the border fence on the Greek side. The Turkish state television reported that tear gas grenades and stones were thrown at the Turkish police and the European border protection agency Frontex by the Turkish side.

The Greek security forces are said to be using strong fans to blow the tear gas and smoke back into Turkish territory. They also used tear gas. The incidents lasted about an hour and a half. Around 4:00 p.m., people went back to a makeshift camp in Pazarkule, eyewitnesses reported. Since then there has been peace again at the border crossing.
