Due to a number of technical problems, Hawaiian Airlines had to return to Los Angeles Airport three times on Saturday.
The plane from Los Angeles to Maui was lifted twice and both times but again reversed, said a spokesman for the airline. On the third try, the aircraft moved away from the gate, but did not pick up.
Blame for the three-fold reversal were „different and unrelated problems with different systems,“ the spokesman said, without going into more detail. The 200 passengers on board were accommodated in hotels and rebooked for other flights.
