After the knife attack near the former editorial offices of the Parisian satirical magazine „Charlie Hebdo“ there is suspicion of terrorism. The anti-terrorist prosecutor in Paris has taken over the investigation, as it became known this afternoon.

Two people were injured in the attack. First there was talk of four injured people. One person was arrested shortly after the attack. In the early afternoon there was another arrest in the area of ​​the Richard Lenoir metro station near the crime scene, as reported by French media. A hoe was also found at the station.

Prime Minister Jean Castex said an emergency meeting had been called. The area around the building was cordoned off, and a suspicious package is said to have been found.

The terrorism process for the bloody Islamist attack on „Charlie Hebdo“ has been going on in Paris since the beginning of the month. 14 people are charged. A total of 17 people were killed in the series of attacks in January 2015. The three perpetrators were shot dead by security forces.
