In Turkey, security forces have again taken action against alleged supporters of the terrorist militia “Islamic State” (IS). A total of 25 people were arrested, the state news agency Anadolu Ajansi reported today. 24 of them are Iraqi citizens, one is Finnish. Four other suspects are volatile.
After the questioning, deportations should be initiated, it said. In the past few months, Turkey has repeatedly rejected suspected IS supporters.
IS has claimed several attacks in Turkey in recent years, including the one on the Reina nightclub in Istanbul on New Year’s Eve 2016/2017. 39 people were shot at that time.
