The rescue vessel of the German aid organization Sea-Watch has been released in Italy. „We just got the official message that our ship is no longer confiscated and can return to service,“ the organization tweeted today.

The ship „Sea-Watch 3“ had rescued 65 migrants off the coast of Libya in mid-May. Italy’s Interior Minister Matteo Salvini had indeed resisted that the refugees were allowed to land. However, they could later disembark in Lampedusa. The ship is currently in Licata in Sicily.
