According to a report by the TASS news agency, the Russian Interior Ministry wants to start an investigation into the illness of the prominent Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny. The police will initiate appropriate investigations, it said today.
The opposition member was flown to Germany from Russia on Saturday and is in an artificial coma in the Berlin Charite. The German doctors found evidence of poisoning near Navalny. The Russian doctors had denied that.
