French forces saved 19 people in the English Channel from distress. They wanted to get to the UK on a small sport boat. According to the French Navy, the boat was in need yesterday about seven kilometers off the coast of Dunkirk. A navy helicopter, a customs patrol boat, a rescue lifeboat and a fishing boat came to the rescue.

There were 16 men, a woman and two children on board. Several of the inmates suffered from hypothermia. Everyone was brought back to the French coast.
