North Korea has apparently tested rockets again. Pyongyang fired two „unidentified projectiles“, the South Korean news agency Yonhap reported today, citing the General Staff in Seoul. The bullets had been shot down in the south Pyongan Province to the east towards the sea.

In recent weeks, North Korea has fired several short-range missiles, despite UN resolutions banning the country from any ballistic missile test. Yesterday, the government in Pyongyang proposed resuming nuclear negotiations with the US at the end of September. There has been no progress in talks on denuclearization in the country for months.

US President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met for the first time in June 2018 for a historic summit. A second meeting in February was canceled without result. In June, Trump and Kim met for the first time in the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea. They agreed to continue talks at the working level, but they have not started to this day.
