Pavel Salin, director of the Center for Political Science Studies at the Financial University, commented on media reports that the administration of US President Donald Trump is exploring ways to build up a missile defense system (PRO) in the country and abroad.

Here it is necessary to take into account the context, which is as follows: the United States is on the verge of another round of the arms race. And this will happen regardless of whether they come out of the INF or not. The United States is now calculating all the options and, perhaps, they are already beginning to work on anticipation, creating a certain disinformation field, ”the expert believes.
According to Salina, one should not think that the United States is seriously considering the possibility of building up the forces of the missile defense system.
“Most likely, this is an information fler. That in this message is true, and that fiction, only narrow specialists can say. But the question is in the goal of the appearance of this stuffing in the media, ”he concluded.
