In Italy, a hundred-year-old who had recovered from a coronavirus infection was discharged from the hospital. The man, born in 1919, was released from Rimini’s hospital last night, city vice-mayor Gloria Lisi told AFP. „It’s always good to give a little hope now,“ she added.
Italy is the hardest hit country in Europe with more than 7,500 deaths due to the coronavirus pandemic. The mortality rate is particularly high among people over 80 years of age. There are almost 75,000 cases of infection in the country.
