
The Russian oil company Rosneft has suspended oil production in the autonomous republic of Kurdistan in northern Iraq near the Syrian border because of military conflicts in Syria. This is true until the „100% security of our employees is guaranteed,“ quoted Russian news agencies today the Group.
Affected is according to agencies a facility. In the remaining Rosneft plants of the region the enterprise runs as usual.
Iraqi authorities yesterday announced that over the past few days, around 500 Syrian Kurds have fled to Iraq and camped in the Kurdistan Autonomous Republic because of the Turkish military offensive in northern Syria.
