Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, more than five million people worldwide have been shown to have been infected with the novel virus, according to US researchers. That came from data from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore today. According to this, around 328,000 people have already died after being infected with the corona virus. Almost every third infection has been detected in the United States.
The researchers‘ website is updated regularly with incoming data and therefore shows a higher level than the official figures of the World Health Organization (WHO). In some cases, however, the numbers have recently been revised downwards. In any case, experts assume a high number of unreported cases.
