The novel corona virus is spreading further in Germany. The city of Bonn in North Rhine-Westphalia reported the first case of infection today. This affects a man who works in the open all-day area of a school. Parents are currently being informed and urged that families stay at home for the time being, the city said.
There were four suspected cases in Duisburg, as the local authorities announced today. Three of those affected are in home quarantine and one patient is being treated in a clinic. Three of the suspected cases had previously been in one of the particularly affected areas in Italy, one had contact with an infected person in connection with the cases in the particularly affected district of Heinsberg. The North Rhine-Westphalian city of Duisburg explained that test results are expected in the late afternoon.
Yesterday and during the night today, new cases of infection from Hesse and Baden-Württemberg, among others, had previously been reported. In both cases, the authorities reported mild symptoms.
