An attacker shot at a U.S. military base on Thursday. The shooter, who injured no one, had been „eliminated“, the US Army said. It was initially unclear whether the shooter was killed or injured. The background to the attack was also initially unclear. The base was cordoned off.
The incident reportedly occurred early (local time) at the Corpus Christi military base in Texas. At first there was talk of an injured military police officer. A spokeswoman for the military base said, however, that the man was fine. But there was an exchange of fire between the attacker and security forces. At the military base, US soldiers and foreign colleagues complete flight training.
