The Mexican government wants to support the third and decisive test phase of the Russian coronavirus vaccine candidate „Sputnik V“ with thousands of volunteers. The Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard wrote yesterday (local time) on Twitter.
During talks with the Russian ambassador, he had expressed interest in carrying out large-scale studies on humans „in order to have the vaccine in Mexico as soon as possible“.
Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador also agreed to be the first to voluntarily test the new coronavirus vaccine if it proves effective.
