In the Brexit dispute, British Prime Minister Theresa May comes to Brussels on Thursday in order to find a solution for a regulated EU exit from her country. This was announced by a spokesman for the EU Commission today. It is planned to have a discussion with Commissioner Jean-Claude Juncker.
May had announced that it would push for an amendment to the Brexit agreement in Brussels. Particularly controversial in London is the „backstop“, a guarantee for an open border between the EU state of Ireland and the British Northern Ireland. Britain wants to leave the EU on 29th March.
