Encouraged by the mass protests against British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, opposition leader Jeremy Corbyn has called for the deputies of all parties to resist in parliament.

When the House of Commons comes out of the summer break on Tuesday, everyone must stand together to prevent Britain from leaving the EU without a withdrawal agreement, Corbyn said yesterday in Glasgow, Scotland.

There, as in many other cities, tens of thousands of people protested against Johnson and his controversial decision to suspend Parliament for weeks. Many spoke of an attack on democracy.
