Before a possible second meeting with US President Donald Trump, North Korea’s ruler Kim Jong Un demonstrated his closeness to the Chinese leadership.
China’s state-run news agency Xinhua quoted China’s state news agency Xinhua after meeting with China’s President Xi Jinping in Beijing as saying that relations between the two countries have been boosted to „a new high“ last year.
The Chinese head of state and party therefore spoke of a „new historical chapter“ in mutual relations. China also welcomed the plan for further North Korea-US summit meetings.
