In the Czech Republic, „intelligent quarantine“ has been used in the fight against the coronavirus epidemic. Having been examined in two regions in the past few days, the procedure is now expanding across the country, according to an order from the Ministry of Health in Prague.
The guideline of „intelligent quarantine“ is the fastest possible targeted testing of people who have been in contact with the already infected people. As part of the system, “memory maps” are provided, which the hygienists compile using data from cell phones and bank cards from the past five days. The owner’s consent is required. In addition, the „intelligent quarantine“ should ensure better coordination and utilization of test centers and laboratories.
Parallel loosening
At the same time, some restrictive measures are being relaxed in the Czech Republic. For example, car dealers and traders can open their shops. Training activities by athletes in smaller groups and weddings with a maximum of ten people are also permitted. However, the general obligation to wear masks everywhere in public still applies.
6,787 cases of infection have so far been reported in the Czech Republic, which has a population of 10.6 million. 188 patients died, 1,311 were cured. The daily growth of new infections has decreased in the past few days, although the number of tests has increased significantly. The government therefore claims to have controlled the spread of the infection.
