On the matter of the announced US exit from the INF Treaty, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Sunday that Russia would respond with countermeasures if the US stationed mid-range missiles in Europe.
Lavrov also criticized the position of the EU in this matter. The European countries are „not yet ready“ to act independently in practical issues and „follow the US even if it clearly runs counter to their interests,“ said the Russian Foreign Minister.
