The 35-year-old was traveling with another woman on Sunday in the Horton Plains National Park in the island nation in the Indian Ocean. The two women reportedly tried to take a photo of themselves in front of a precipice, a police spokesman said.
According to a report from the Daily Mirror, the woman fell off the cliff of World’s End. The cliff has a drop of 1200 meters and is one of the most visited places in the Nuwara Eliya District.
The police, assisted by the army, air force and local people, were seeking for the wife for six hours near the town of Balangoda in central Sri Lanka. From the air her body was finally discovered, then he could be recovered.
