US President Donald Trump has denounced the Democrats for investigating possible impeachment. „We’re dealing with some really sick and disturbed people,“ Trump said in Minnesota.
„The Democrats are on a crusade to destroy our democracy,“ Trump said on his first campaign appearance since Democrats launched preparations for a so-called impeachment trial for the so-called Ukraine affair. The Democrats are „crazy“, „malicious“ and „devilish“.
Personal attacks
Speaking about the Democrats‘ frontwoman, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Trump said she was either „really stupid,“ „not quite right“ or dishonest. The president once again personally attacked other Democrats – such as Congressman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and his potential challenger in the 2020 election, ex-vice president Joe Biden, and his son Hunter.
Trump is accused of abusing the power of his office for a foreign government to interfere in his election campaign. Trump had encouraged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenski in a telephone conversation to investigate Joe and Hunter Biden.
