According to an official human rights organization, more than 80 civilians were killed in an attack on the Ethiopian-Sudanese border. The incident occurred in the Benishangul-Gumuz region on the border with Sudan, the government-appointed Ethiopian Human Rights Commission announced today.

Nothing was said about those responsible for the crime. More than 220 people were killed in an attack in the area last month. In the Tigray region in northern Ethiopia, the TPLF, the ruling People’s Liberation Front, has been fighting with government troops for weeks. Benishangul-Gumuz is in the west of the country.
