In front of the office of the AfD in the Saxon town of Döbeln, a heavy explosion occurred in the evening. The police investigate a suspected attack, said a spokesman for the police department in Chemnitz. At around 19.20 hours, an „unknown substance was exploded in front of the party office in Bahnhofstrasse in Döbeln“.
This damage to the office and apparently also two parked cars and two other buildings. People were not hurt.
The police did not want to make statements about possible suspects for „tactical reasons“. The State Criminal Police Office was involved in the investigation on suspicion of a politically motivated crime.
