In a large-scale raid against allegedly right-wing Ku Klux Klan members, buildings in eight German states have been searched today. The officials had ensured more than 100 weapons, said prosecutors and state criminal police in Stuttgart.
At the center of the investigation are 17 accused persons between the ages of 17 and 59 years. They are said to have formed a criminal organization called „National Socialist Knights of the Ku Klux Klan Germany“.
„The members unite their right attitude, which manifests itself among other things in a glorification of the national socialism,“ said the investigators. Parts of the groups had fantasies of violence and planned to arm themselves. In total, there are around 40 suspects from all over Germany. There were no known arrests or arrest warrants.
The investigators had come to the accused in the evaluation of chat protocols of a cell phone on the track. The device had been confiscated in connection with a preliminary investigation into the use of license plates of unconstitutional organizations.
