According to a media report, Great Britain has expelled three Chinese spies. The secret service employees are said to have posed as journalists, reported the British newspaper „Daily Telegraph“ yesterday. The three spies work for the Chinese Ministry of State Security, according to a high-ranking government source.

The true identities of the three spies were revealed by the MI5 secret service, the report said. Since then, the secret service employees have been expelled. All three claimed to „work for three different Chinese media agencies“ and had come to the country in the past twelve months.

Relations between Britain and China have deteriorated since London harshly criticized Beijing for the controversial security law in Hong Kong and the way it dealt with the Uyghurs in China’s Xinjiang province.
