The troubled Germania airline has filed for bankruptcy and stops with immediate effect their flight operations. The bankruptcy petition had been submitted to the district court Berlin-Charlottenburg, the company said in the night on today. „The flight operations will be suspended during the night of 4 to 5 February 2019.“ The employees were informed.
„Unfortunately, we ultimately failed to successfully complete our financing efforts to meet a short-term liquidity need,“ said Managing Director Karsten Balke. „We very much regret that, as a consequence, we had no choice but to file for bankruptcy.“
