
About two and a half months ago one of the biggest environmental disasters in Czech history happened: 40 tons of fish perished in a river south of the city of Ostrava after a chemical leak. According to the authorities, it is still unclear who is responsible. According to the media, the matter is clearer: A chemical plant belonging to Prime Minister Andrej Babis‘ group should be responsible. After much hesitation, the company is now being carefully investigated.
