At the beginning of the coronavirus crisis, the Czech Republic was seen as a pioneer in the fight against the virus – one year later nothing can be felt. Despite months of lockdowns, Austria’s neighboring country has become Europe’s CoV hotspot, and it is also far ahead in terms of infection rates worldwide. The situation in the hospitals is tense, and trust in the government is crumbling.
