The opposition Labor Party in the UK is discussing a second Brexit referendum, according to its leader, Jeremy Corbyn. Should Labor come to power, any renegotiated agreement with the EU could be presented to the people, he told Sky News yesterday.

When asked if that meant he wanted a second referendum on leaving the EU, Corbyn said, „That’s the point we’re discussing in the party right now.“ Previously, the second most powerful man in the party, John McDonnell , says Labor tends toward a second referendum.

In recent days, nine MPs have left the party, partly because of the Brexit policy Corbyns. Conservative Prime Minister Theresa May has ruled out a second referendum but has not had a majority for the Brexit agreement negotiated by her government with the EU. The EU does not want to renegotiate the agreement, May wants to avoid an unregulated Brexit with amendments to the agreement. The EU also wants to avoid a „no-deal“ EU exit from the UK.
