Clear „No“ by Kevin Hart for the Oscar-Moderation

The back and forth to Kevin Hart (39) as a possible Oscar host is obviously over. Asked if he would moderate the trophy show on February 24, the US comedian answered yesterday with a clear „No“ in the US show „Good Morning America.“ There would not be enough time left to prepare for this performance.

Shortly after his appointment as Oscar-host in early December, the black comedian was caught in the crossfire of criticism for anti-gay tweets and jokes from 2009 to 2011. Hart then announced his retirement as a show presenter. At the same time he apologized to the LGBTQ community for „insensitive words from the past“.

Last week, however, he promised a possible return to the show stage. He thinks about it, Hart said in the US talk show hosted by moderator Ellen DeGeneres. The openly lesbian presenter DeGeneres had clearly put in her mission behind Hart. She also heard from the Oscar Academy that they want Hart as moderator, said DeGeneres.
