A sensation in the Berlin district court! Clan boss Arafat Abou-Chaker was first convicted. He received a probationary sentence of ten months on Tuesday for assault and threats to a caretaker.
Even more: The clan boss was arrested directly! The prosecution used the trial date to enforce a previously requested arrest warrant.
▶ ︎ Reason for the arrest: Arafat Abou-Chaker was „strongly suspected of having committed a crime to the detriment of family members of his former business partner Bushido,“ said Martin Steltner, spokesman for the prosecutor. Abou-Chaker is said to have sought people who kidnap Bushido’s children or his wife.
The clan boss arrived at 8.40 in the Mercedes car, went with his lawyers in a café opposite, apparently good things. He wore a dark gray tracksuit, sports shoes.

Personal appearance in hall 101 of the district court was scheduled this Tuesday. The clan chief was more restrained than usual. A witness was still heard, then advice on the verdict. Arafat walked over to the auditorium to see his brother, Rommel, talking, apparently joking, and they both laughed.
Then the verdict: ten months imprisonment suspended on probation. His first conviction, the clan chief took motionless. After the verdict, all visitors and journalists had to get out, in the hall remained Abou-Chaker, lawyers and sergeant.
That’s how the arrest went

The accusations
The raid in November 2018 on the joint estate of Arafat Abou-Chaker and Bushido is said to be linked to allegations of planned kidnapping.
▶ ︎ The raid came after BILD information, because the wife of Yasser, a brother of Arafat, had made a statement. She claimed to have heard how people should be recruited to take action against Bushido and his family.
► Another urgent suspicion concerns incitement to child abduction. It is a matter of suspicion that the children of Arafat’s brother Yasser and his wife should be abducted; they live with the mother, the parents are separated.
► Further allegations, according to Steltner: serious assault, attempted coercion, insult.
Which case was it in court?
In the case of assault Abou-Chaker should have stabbed the caretaker’s fingers in the eye. This should have come death threat, head in the face, nose break. Crime scene: a physiotherapy practice, the clan is supposed to be a silent partner. Tat time: 7th March 2018.
The janitor (49) said at a previous trial day: „I had tile work in the foyer. I stood with my back to him, did not see him. He said, ‚What’s going on in Germany, why is nobody here greeting me?‘ Then I say, ‚Hello, what do you want, just keep going.‘ He wanted to box right away. We then take the elevator up to the physio practice to clarify that with the boss. He put two fingers in my eyes. I was blind for a moment. Have my left kicked out. Got several punches, a head butt, bleeding nose, was broken. He threatened, ‚This man does not have to live, I kill him!‘ “
A physiotherapist (28) said at an earlier hearing: „When I came to this, Arafat already had a bloody nose. The practice boss kept the men apart. The janitor put his hands over his face, Arafat struck him. „Judge:“ Was the defendant a patient like any other? “
Physiotherapist: „No. He came often, got appointments the way he wanted. How that was with the recipes, I do not know. He used the personal refrigerator. “
The prosecution has demanded a fine of 270,000 euros, Abou-Chaker’s defense, however, acquitted. The verdict is not yet legally binding.
