China’s defense minister justified the bloody crackdown on the Tiananmen Square protests 30 years ago as the right decision. In one of the rare remarks by a Chinese politician on what happened back then at Tiananmen Square in Beijing, Wei Fenghe said today at a security conference that the protests were political unrest.
