In China, authorities today announced 127 new coronavirus cases. That is the highest value since March 5th. Health authorities say 112 of these cases are registered in the northwestern Xinjiang region.
Vietnam, which has been largely spared by the pandemic, also posted a record high. According to the Ministry of Health of the communist country, 45 cases were added within one day due to an outbreak in the city of Danang. There have been 93 infections since the recent outbreak. The neighboring country of China has so far had a total of 509 infections.
