The suspect in the case of the murdered Regierungspräsidenten of the German city of Kassel, Walter Lübcke, wants to make a new confession. This said its defender Frank Hannig the ARD political magazine „Panorama“, which is broadcast today.

About the exact content he did not want to tell anything yet. Already a week ago, Hanning had told the „Spiegel“ that he was examining evidence of a possible second man at the scene.

Lübcke had been found dead on the 2nd of June on the terrace of his home in Wolfhagen-Istha in northern Hesse. According to the autopsy, the 65-year-old was shot with a short weapon at close range. The investigators assume a right-wing extremist background. A first confession had revoked the main suspect Stephan E.

„One can hardly assume that Mr. E. has nothing to do with the deed,“ Hannig now said to „Panorama“. „That is, the expectation that he would suddenly say, he was nowhere at all, should be unrealistic.“
