The British Parliament votes tonight on alternative proposals to the Brexit Treaty. The exit is completely open. MEPs brought in over a dozen applications designed to steer the government’s previous position towards either a harder or a softer Brexit.

The exit agreement negotiated by Prime Minister Theresa May with the EU had been rejected in the lower house by a two-thirds majority. Without agreement, a disorderly exit of Britain from the European Union threatens on 29 March. The main issue is the border settlement between Northern Ireland, which belongs to Great Britain, and EU member Ireland.
