The British military is mobilizing its reservists because of the corona virus. They would be ready to assist the armed forces in the containment process, the government said today.
London closes underground stations
The London Underground temporarily closes a number of stops. Up to 40 stations without the possibility of changing to other lines would be closed until further notice, the London transport company Transport for London announced. On certain lines, night service is also suspended on Fridays and Saturdays, and the number of bus connections is also reduced.
The London public transport authorities appealed to citizens not to use public transport for „unnecessary journeys“. This should ensure „safe and reliable operation“ for people who are indispensable in the fight against the pandemic.
