According to security circles, at least 30 people were killed in a bomb explosion in northeastern Nigeria. The explosive device detonated today on a bridge in the city of Gamboru on the border with Cameroon. According to eyewitnesses, more than 35 injured were taken to hospital.
It is unclear who is behind the attack. A military spokesman initially did not want to comment. In Nigeria, the jihadist terrorist group Boko Haram and a branch of the terrorist militia Islamic State (IS) repeatedly carry out attacks.
