Less than a week after the terrorist attack in Strasbourg with five dead, a suspect from the environment of the alleged assassin Cherif Chekatt is to be remanded in custody. That demanded the investigating anti-terrorism prosecutor’s office according to own data today.

Seven people arrested after the attack
Chekatt is accused of opening fire on Tuesday in the city center of the Alsace metropolis. The attack killed five people, several were injured. Chekatt was killed on Thursday in Strasbourg in a shootout with the police.
Investigators had taken seven people into custody after the attack. According to previous reports by the French media, four family members and two more were released from their environment. The suspect, who is now in custody, was already in custody, according to the prosecution.
Fifth victim succumbed to injuries
