According to a decision by the authorities, the people of Beijing no longer have to wear a mask outdoors. With the lifting of the mask requirement, the regulations in the fight against the coronavirus were further relaxed after the Chinese capital had not reported any new infections for 13 days in a row.
The authorities in Beijing had already ordered the lifting of the mask requirement outdoors at the end of April. After a new CoV outbreak in a wholesale market in the south of the city, the easing was quickly reversed. No new locally transmitted cases have been reported across China for the last five days in a row.
