Due to the global coronavirus pandemic, cruise ships will not be allowed to moor in Australia for the next few months. The border protection agency announced today that the ban on cruise ships with more than 100 passengers will be extended by a further three months until September 17. Round trips on cruise ships in Australian waters are also prohibited.
Australia implemented the restrictions on March 27. At the time there were 28 international cruise ships in Australia, but all have now left the country’s waters.
