Drivers in Australia can now communicate their state of mind via emoji on the license plate. The new regulation in the state of Queensland should apply from March, as the authorities announced.
At first only emojis with a positive message are available for selection – namely the symbols for smiling, winking, laughing, with little hearts and with sunglasses. Angry commuters in a traffic jam can not give their annoyance a pictorial expression on the license plate.
The little faces are usually preferred when communicating via short messages. The Queensland Automobile Club welcomed the innovation – as did the drivers.
