The main and backup crews of the 58/59th expedition to the International Space Station (ISS) began pre-spaceflight training at the Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre on Tuesday.
The main crew includes Roscosmos pilot Oleg Kononenko, NASA astronaut Ann McClain and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut David Saint-Jacques.
The backup crew includes Russian cosmonaut Alexander Skvortsov, NASA astronaut Andrew Morgan and European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Luca Parmitano.
Missions to the ISS are set to resume after a booster on the Soyuz MS-10 failed on October 11, forcing the crew to abort their flight.
The next launch date for the Soyuz MS-11 spacecraft is scheduled for December 3.
