After the bloody suicide attack on the Revolutionary Guards, three suspects have been arrested in Iran. Several hiding places in the cities of Sarawan and Hash were „eliminated“ and three „terrorists“ arrested, the Revolutionary Guards told today via their news agency Sepah. In addition, explosives, weapons and ammunition had been confiscated.

The non-army elite unit said the detainees „guided and supported“ a deadly attack on a troop bus on Wednesday.

In the attack in the southeastern restless province of Sistan and Baluchistan, 27 members of the Revolutionary Guards had been killed, returning from an operation on the Pakistani border. The jihadist group Jaish al-Adl committed to the attack.
Iran threatened Pakistan

Chief of Staff Mohammed Bagheri told Tasnim News Agency that Iran had informed Pakistan about the „hidden and semi-hidden terrorist training centers“ in Pakistan, and called on the armed forces to either attack the groups themselves or allow Iranian troops to intervene in Pakistan. Islamabad had therefore yesterday launched a campaign against the „terrorists“ in the border region.

Tehran had threatened Pakistan to attack the extremist detention camps if it did not intervene.

„We hope that the Pakistani government can prevent this in the future and wants it to happen again,“ said Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Ghasemi. His ministry had summoned the Pakistani ambassador the day before to urge Pakistan to act.
