New Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Italian Republic to Mongolia Laura Botta presented her Letter of Credence to the President of Mongolia Kh.Battulga today, on October 31.
At the meeting held following the ceremony, President Kh.Battulga received Ambassador Laura Botta and sides exchanged views on intensifying the bilateral cooperation on sectors of agriculture and tourism that has a significant impact on the development of the two countries.
Despite the fact that Mongolia is located in the tourist region, Mongolia is receiving insufficient number of tourists, moreover, although number of livestock has increased, the manufacturing sector has not adequately developed yet. Stressing these issues, President Kh.Battulga expressed his willingness to cooperate with Italy which has been implementing successful policies and management in these sectors.

In this regard, sides held wide range of conversation on introducing Italian management and technology in jointly implementing projects Leather Processing Industry which is being built in Darkhan and policy in Tourism Sector etc.
Moreover, sides shared views on cultural events and other activities for celebration of 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries which will mark in 2020.
